The Dallas Mavericks won 105-101 against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of the second round of the 2023-2024 NBA Western Conference Playoff at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on the 12th (Korea Standard Time).

The fifth-seeded Dallas had one win and one loss in two consecutive away games against the first-seeded Oklahoma City. The third game was played at home to Dallas. It was thanks to cheers from home fans. Dallas beat Oklahoma City's strong pursuit in the fourth quarter and secured its second win.

One-two punch Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving still performed well. Doncic showed off his unique versatility with 22 points, 15 rebounds and five assists. In an interview after the game, Washington said, "I want to give credit to my teammates. They helped me attack from a good position. Throughout my career, I've been thinking about playing for such a team. I'm enjoying every moment."

Doncic also said, "We believe in P.J. Washington. He is playing aggressively with confidence. We have to keep working hard."

Washington traded for Dallas this season. Dallas expected a strong defense. However, Washington has emerged as a variable in this season's series by distinguishing itself not only in defense but also in offense.

It is a performance that even the opposing ace, Shai Gilgers-Alexander, has no choice but to admit.

"P.J. Washington is playing real basketball. We have to stop him in order for us to win this series," Gilles-Alexander said.
