Alphonso Davies, who is at odds between moving to Real Madrid and staying in Bayern Munich, has expressed dissatisfaction with the club's renewal deadline.

One of Bayern's big stars, Davis is a Canadian national team player who plays mostly at left fullback. He boasts of incredible speed to the point where he can match the world's best players. Currently, the topic of Davis' contract term is the term of his contract. His contract expires next summer, so if he doesn't get caught up in a long-term contract, he has to sell it this summer to earn a transfer fee.

Against this backdrop, Bayern, which replaced its general manager and other executives last winter, pressured Davis to "make his position clear." Max Eberle, the new general manager, said, "There are moments in life when you have to answer yes or no," and that Davis should respond quickly to the club's offer to renew the contract. If he has no intention of signing a contract, he has indicated that he will pursue the sale and recruitment of his successor. There is reportedly a considerable gap between Bayern's highest salary terms and Davis' request.

However, Davis has publicly complained about the club's treatment. Davis' agent said in the German daily Bild that "the situation in which Davis is currently being attacked is not the right treatment" and that the player was publicly attacked by the club

Davis said the urgent need to renew the contract is not because of the players but because of the turmoil in the team's management. "A year ago, the contract was imminent, but the team's management changed completely. I haven't received any explanation for seven months. Even though I tried to contact the club in person," Davis said, trying to start the contract discussion earlier.

However, the deadline for ultimatums has come now. As the club is under pressure and takes a long time, it has to respond within two weeks. He urged for a definite answer without providing a proper deadline for negotiations.

The agent said, "It's a very important contract for Alfonso's career. You can't make important decisions without knowing who the coach is or what the team will be like next season. So I don't think the ultimatum is right." He said it's a difficult situation to make.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel has already announced that he will leave at the end of this season, and is looking for a replacement. The squad is also expected to make a big change. From Davis' point of view, he is expected to sign a long-term contract only when the outline of the next coach is revealed and whether the club can present its vision for the next season is confirmed.

Unlike the club's notification that the coach should respond within two weeks, Davis said he would decide whether to renew his contract at least after the new coach is announced. Chances are high that this will happen after the end of the season. Eberle's plan to sell his arm and search for a replacement has already been completed.
