Candidates are eligible for the K-League 1 player's Korean nationality, under the age of 23 (born after 2001) and three years or less (debut after the 2022 season) from the year in which he made his first appearance in an official K-League game. Players who meet the above three conditions and participate in more than half of the total playing time of his team in the relevant month are considered candidates. Among them, the final winner will be determined through discussions and voting by members of the Technical Research Group (TSG) under the Federation's Technical Committee.
