England national football team manager Gareth Southgate is under fire from fans for his 'experimental replacement'.

British media The Sun reported on the 24th (Korea Standard Time) that "fans judged Southgate's decision as the most overwhelming dismissal in history."

The English national soccer team lost 0-1 to Brazil in a friendly match held at Wembley Stadium in London, the U.K. on Sunday. The difference of victory and defeat was only 35 minutes in the second half. England bowed its head by conceding the finisher goal to "Brazil's star born in 2006" Endreich (SE Palmeiras).

The Sun said, "Southgate has decided to replace Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid) in the 22nd minute of the second half. He brought in West Ham. It was the other two that raised eyebrows. Southgate excluded Harry Maguire (Manchester United) and Ben Chilwell (Chelsea) and brought in Lewis Dunk (Brighton) and Joe Gomez (Riverpool). They played their first A-match since October 2020. On the other hand, James Maddison (Tottenham) and Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) were sitting on the bench at the time. Some fans criticized Southgate's uninspiring choice. Fans reportedly questioned whether Southgate made the effort to win. According to The Sun, ace Bellingham was not happy when he was replaced. He bowed his head and retreated to the bench.

According to the media's report, "The most overwhelming triple replacement in soccer history," "Southgate did not aim for victory," "The worst replacement ever," and "I feel ashamed." Another media outlet, Express, also gave a negative evaluation by using the word "audition."

The Sun added: 'Southgate's wrong choice was an excuse for conceding a goal. There was a wrong header on the dunk.'
