Kim Ha-seong of the San Diego Padres of the U.S. Major League sent a message of hope to junior Lee Jeong-hoo (Kiwoom), who is preparing to advance to the big league.

Ha-seong Kim returned to Korea through Incheon International Airport on the 11th. He is San Diego's starting second baseman this season and has been a top hitter since the middle of the season, greatly increasing his value. His batting average rose to .209 in the mid-to-late season, and the number of home runs also increased significantly, but he failed to achieve his dream record of 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases as he did not hit a home run after hitting his 17th home run against the Miami Marlins on August 22 (Korean time). Still, he did well enough. He finished the season with a batting average of .206, 17 home runs, 60 RBI, 84 runs, and 38 stolen bases.

While Kim Ha-seong has established himself as a clear starter and big leaguer in San Diego, what is attracting attention is his reunion with Lee Jeong-hoo, with whom he had a close relationship during his time with the Kiwoom Heroes. Lee Jeong-hoo plans to advance to the major leagues through the posting system this winter. He made a surprise appearance in the final home game on the 10th and greeted the fans, which was watched by San Francisco Giants general manager Pete Purteler. With Lee Jeong-hoo's skills and product value, it is expected that he will be able to wear a major league uniform.

Kim Ha-seong said of Lee Jeong-hoo, "I don't have any advice. He is already a complete hitter. Batting, defense, and base running are all strengths," and added, "If you watch the pitchers' pitches in spring camp and adapt, you will see good results. I will tell you in detail what I felt. "I'm willing to give it up, but I'll have to prepare well. It's not an easy place by any means," he said.

If Lee Jung-hoo goes to San Francisco, he will have to face him as a district rival. Ha-seong Kim said, "I don't care which team I go to. I hope I go to a place where I can do well," and when asked what it would be like to play on the same team, he joked, "I've already played a lot in Korea."

It is true that Kim Ha-seong has increased his value as a Korean fielder, so Lee Jeong-hoo can move to the United States more smoothly. This is because he raised trust in Korean players. Regarding this, Ha-seong Kim said, "When I first performed poorly in the United States, I was worried that I might have a negative influence on the advancement of juniors. I thought I should do better," and added, "I received help from my seniors. Jeong-hoo should also be grateful to me." I laughed.
