The Busan Open Tennis Tournament will begin with the preliminaries on April 7th at the Busan Spo One Tennis Stadium and continue for eight days until April 14th. This year's tournament marks the 20th anniversary of its promotion to the ATP Challenger Tournament in 2003.

The Busan Open Tennis Tournament, which produced leading players of Korean men's tennis such as Hyeon Jeong, Hyeong-taek Lee, Soon-woo Kwon, and Seong-chan Hong, was held in 1997 as a domestic open tournament until 2002 when Busan tennis club members came together to provide a bigger dream stage for Korean players. In 2003, it was upgraded to an ATP Challenger tournament (total prize money of $25,000). Since then, the Busan Open Tennis Tournament has raised its status by being upgraded to the ATP125 Series (total prize money of US$160,000) in 2019, with a total prize money of US$72,000 in 2013, US$100,000 in 2015, US$150,000 in 2017, and US$160,000 in total prize money in 2019. 스포츠 토토사이트

In the 2022 tournament, the performance of domestic players stood out as Kwon Soon-woo participated, Hong Seong-chan advanced to the quarterfinals in Lucky Loser, and the doubles team of Nam Ji-seong and Song Min-gyu advanced to the finals. In the 2023 tournament, Chung Hyun's participation attracted the attention of many tennis people, and Lee Jae-moon and Shin Woo-bin's doubles team advanced to the semifinals. In addition, a large number of Australian players, including Alexander Vukic, participated and achieved good results, which served as a stepping stone to moving up the world rankings.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of its promotion to the ATP Challenger Tournament in 2003, the Busan Open Tennis Tournament Organizing Committee appointed coach Jeong Jong-sam (Myongji University), a living legend of Busan tennis, as tournament director and coach Shin Da-wo (Dongrae High School) as assistant tournament director.

Coach Jeong Jong-sam, the tournament director for this tournament, said, “I have a great sense of responsibility as the tournament director for the Busan Open Tennis Tournament, which boasts the most authority in Korea.” He added, “As this year is the 20th anniversary of promotion to the ATP Challenger Tournament, I will be fully prepared.” “We will do our best to establish the conditions as the best sports competition in Busan in name and reality by creating conditions for participating athletes to demonstrate their best skills and installing attractions and entertainment throughout the venue,” he said. 슬롯사이트 순위
