Around 400 guests, including former employees, countless customers from around the world, and almost every Gauselmann AG management board, celebrated the 25th anniversary of GeWeTe Geldwechsel-und Sicherheitsteknik GmbH, which is headquartered in Mecernich near North Rain-Westphalia/Germann, in late June. In the afternoon, countless customers also had the opportunity to visit the Mecernich plant. This proud anniversary was celebrated at the 'Phantasialand' Adventure Park in Brühl.
Since its inception on January 1, 1993, GeWeTe has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the Gauselmann Group (NRW/Germann) in the East Westphalia region. With more than 60,000 systems installed around the world and a unique product portfolio in the industry, GeWeTe is a leading supplier of cash processing systems. Since 1993, GeWeTe has been developing, producing, and selling currency exchange systems, pay stations, and ticket vending machines for domestic and international markets at its Mecernich location. Approximately 120 employees work at the Mecernich production and development sites, and 15 additional employees are employed at GeWeTe locations in the UK, Spain, and Italy.
In his welcome speech, managing director Aristidis Tsikouras especially thanked the employees representing the entrepreneurial family who attended the management board of Gauelmann AG along with Armin Gauelmann, and the dedicated employees for the successful, trust-based collaboration. In his speech, GeWeTe's second managing director, Dr. Jörg Bewersdorf, emphasized the longevity and technical quality of GeWeTe products. In return, the management duo not only received heartfelt applause from their employees, but also received a special commemorative plaque as a gift.
On behalf of his father, Armin Gauselmann gave the keynote speech of the evening. He has appeared so far in GeWeTe think tanks and praised the numerous innovations that have gained significance internationally as well. With comprehensive expertise as a cash handling expert, GeWeTe can respond to various challenges with impressive inventions such as a CarWash vending machine model for car washes, an automated payment station for butcher and bakery, and an automated payment station for utilities such as airports, train stations, hospitals, canteens, swimming pools, wellness centers, and more. Armin Gauselmann also emphasized that such achievements can only be mastered through great teams and thanked his employees for their unwavering dedication on behalf of his entrepreneurial family.
Attractively and effectively bringing the digital image world to life, iPad wizard Simon Pierro offered a truly enjoyable evening program. When the Cologne cult band Bläck Föss performed, almost everyone stood up. With legendary songs such as "Drink dochine met" or "Bye my love," Bläck Föss sent spectators into ecstasy and decorated the GeWeTe anniversary celebration with an all-round success.
