Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA) has been suspended for five games for applying a headlock to an opponent during a game.

The NBA's Office of the Commissioner announced the five-game suspension on Monday (Nov. 16). Golden State's Klay Thompson, Minnesota Timberwolves' Jaden McDaniels, and Rudy Gobert were fined $25,000 (approximately $32.5 million).

The brawl broke out during a game between Golden State and Minnesota on Dec. 15 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif.

Early in the first quarter, Thompson and McDaniels got into an argument and exchanged slaps. As the players swarmed, Green put Gobert in a headlock.

Green, Thompson, and McDaniels were then ejected.

This was Green's fifth career suspension from the NBA Office of the Commissioner. This is the third time this year that he has been suspended for one game, having received two one-game suspensions in March and April.

In Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals, Green was suspended for one game after getting into a scuffle with LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers), then playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This is Green's second ejection of the season. He was also ejected from a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Dec. 12.

Green will not be fined, but he will miss five games and will not receive his $769,970 salary for the period. 토토사이트
