Hwang Yoo-min, who is in the second year of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, is one step closer to the top, holding the lead on the third day of the Doosan E&C Weave Championship (total prize money of 1.2 billion won), the opening game in Korea for the 2024 season.

Hwang Yoo-min picked up three birdies and shot a 3-under 69 in the third round of the tournament held at Teddy Valley Golf & Resort (par 72, 6685 yards) in Seogwipo, Jeju Island on the 6th.

Hwang Yoo-min, who recorded a score in his 60s without a bogey for three consecutive days, recorded a 13-under 203 overall to tie for second place, beating Park Hye-joon, Kang Ji-sun and Moon Jung-min by two strokes.

It is Hwang Yoo-min's second attempt to win this week after reporting his first win at the Daeyu Winia/MBN Women's Open in July last year when he was a rookie.

He performed well last year, ranking second in points for the Rookie of the Year, 11th in prize money for the season, and 12th in points for the grand prize, and finished the warm-up by tying for 12th and 4th in the first two competitions held overseas this year.

Park Hye-joon shot a seven-under-par 65, his best score on the moving day, jumping 17 spots to enter the championship competition.

Kang rose four spots by reducing five shots, and Moon Jung-min tied for second place by reducing two shots. All three players, who tied for second place, are looking forward to their first KLPGA regular tour victory.
