Betts has 39 home runs and 107 RBIs, and Bellinger has 26 home runs and 97 RBIs, so Kim's odds of winning the Silver Slugger are not great. However, both Betts and Bellinger are also nominated in the outfield category, so there is still a chance that Kim could be a "surprise winner" in the utility category. The Silver Slugger is voted on by the coaching staffs of MLB's 30 teams.

Kim is more likely to win the Gold Glove. He will compete with Nico Horner (Chicago Cubs) and Bryson Stott (Philadelphia) in the second baseman category.
