National soccer team midfielder Lee Kang-in, who returned to PSG, apologized to fans for failing to win the Asian Cup.

Lee Kang-in posted on his SNS on the 10th (Korea Standard Time), saying, "I wanted to repay you with good results, but I'm sorry I couldn't."

Lee Kang-in, whose tournament was his first Asian Cup, played six full-time starting games from the group stage to the semifinals, playing as a key member of the national team. In particular, he has emerged as a strong MVP candidate in the tournament, scoring three goals and creating 17 scoring opportunities among all players until the semifinals.

Lee Kang-in posted, "I've worked hard with the players, coaching staff, and support staff for the goal of the Asian Cup for a month, but I'm personally disappointed that I couldn't achieve the desired results," adding, "I wanted to repay you with good results at the Asian Cup due to the constant expectations and support of soccer fans who always support our national team."

"I think many soccer fans must have been disappointed, but if you trust and support our national team as you have done so far, we will try to become a team as a member of the Korean national team and become a competitive team on the world stage," he said, adding, "I will be a player who is dedicated to my team and also plays one step further for the team's victory."
