KLPGA Tour Major Tournament Hanwha Classic Opens on the 24th...The total prize money is 1.7 billion won

Hanwha Classic, which is the predecessor of the "Seoul Women's Open Golf Championship," the first international tournament on the KLPGA Tour, is a major KLPGA Tour event that many golf fans are interested in as a large number of world-class players play on the Korea-U.S. and Japan professional golf tours every year.

Hanwha Classic, which marks its 12th anniversary, is expected to increase its total prize money to 1.7 billion won (winning prize money of 306 million won), the highest prize money on the KLPGA Tour this season, further intensifying competition among players for the championship. This is the third increase in total prize money for Hanwha Classic, and it is the first time in six years since it was increased to 1.4 billion won when it was promoted to a KLPGA Tour major in 2017. 토토사이트

The background of Hanwha Classic's increase in total prize money is based on Hanwha Group's philosophy that it contributes to the development of the Korean golf industry. The move is aimed at helping the KLPGA Tour grow into a world-class competitive sports platform as the best major tournament, as well as providing players with motivation to win and presenting differentiated quality competitions to golf fans.

Last year, to mark the 11th anniversary of the event, Hanwha Classic's own brand slogan, Beyond the Best, was announced and declared for the next 10 years. In recognition of its achievements in realizing international quality management and the world's highest level of future sustainability in 2022, it was then certified as the first "Event Sustainability Management System (ISO2012)" by the International Standards Organization (ISO). This year, we will not only prepare for the only ISO certification competition in Korea, but also strive to share sustainable future values through the competition, focusing on the "Green Keeper" campaign, where you, I, and we all take the lead as eco-friendly ambassadors.

Lee Gu-young, CEO of Hanwha Q Cells, said, "As this season's highest prize money is at stake, we are looking forward to what the world's top players will show to golf fans around the world, we will continue to make efforts to share future values suitable for the only ISO-certified competition."
