Starting with Jung Min-tae, the first-tier pitching coach, Lee Jin-young, the first-tier training coach Jeong Yeon-chang, the Futures coach Jung Dae-hyun, the pitching coach Kang Young-sik, and the Futures general training coach Kim Ji-hoon are all six new coaches.
Among them, coach Kang Young-sik, who played as a starter and bullpen for Samsung in the early 2000s, is the only one who has a connection with Samsung.
Samsung's general manager Lee Jong-yeol, who helped foster pitchers in Futures along with recruiting an experienced first-tier pitching coach to overcome the team's shortcomings rather than its relationship with Samsung, revealed the background of the recruitment with the determination to create a strong team that can continue to challenge the postseason.
In addition, to solve the fundamental problem of the speed of rookie-level pitchers and the power of batters, three more trainers were hired, showing particular attention to the development of Futures as well as to the injury management of first-tier players.
