Ohtani played as the second designated hitter at a home game against the San Francisco Giants held at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California on the 3rd (Korea time), and had no hits, walked one, and one strikeout in three times at bat. His batting average for this season fell from 0.267 to 0.242 (8 hits in 33 times at bat).

Ohtani became a free agent after the end of the last season and signed a 10-year contract with the Dodgers for 700 million U.S. dollars, the largest amount in the history of professional sports. As he underwent elbow surgery last year, he decided not to play as a pitcher but as a designated hitter this year. However, even though he is concentrating only on hitting after quitting the "diffusion flow," his batting performance is not good.

He had multi hits (2 hits in five times at bat) in the opening game of the Seoul Series, which was his first stage after changing the Dodgers uniform, but he seems to be losing batting sense as time goes by. Most of all, there are no homers. He has zero homers in eight games and 36 at-bats. It is the first time in this season that Ohtani has not hit a home run for such a long time since entering the Major League in 2018. OPS (on-base plus slugging) also stands at 0.630, the lowest since entering the MLB. 안전놀이터

The bat is not the only one who is silent. Otani has been reluctant to comment on the gambling scandal involving interpreter Mizuhara Ifei after holding a press conference. Otani's legal representative claimed that Mizuhara paid off her debt without Otani's permission, but the U.S. seems to doubt it. It is nonsense that Otani did not know that at least 4.5 million dollars (6.1 billion won) was withdrawn from her account seven to eight times.

Lee Jung-hoo, who has played as the first batter and center fielder in six consecutive games since the season's opening, had a hit in the top of the ninth inning with two outs. He garnered a hit to the right by hitting a 150-km cut fastball by Dodgers closer Evan Phillips. Having recorded one hit in five times at bat, Lee continued his on-base streak for six consecutive games. His batting average for this season fell to the .200 range (0.292, seven hits in 24 times at bat). San Francisco lost to Dodgers 4-5.

San Diego Padres' Go Woo-suk (26) has been listed as a starting pitcher for the Double-A San Antonio Mission in the Minor League. Having lost two games and posted an ERA of 12.60 in exhibition games, Go did not make the list of players (26) in the Major League. The San Diego Padres sent Go off as a double-A, which is easy to adapt to, rather than a batter-friendly Triple-A El Paso Chihuahua.
