Attention has also been drawn to the penalty he will receive if he is dismissed. Klinsmann, who took charge of the Korean national team on Feb. 27 last year, will sign the contract until the finals of the North-China World Cup, which is scheduled from June to July from 290-26. The contract reportedly includes a clause that requires the team to pay the remaining annual salary in case of dismissal. Experts predict that since Klinsmann is known to have an annual salary of 2 million euros (2.9 billion won), the remaining annual salary he should pay is more than 7 billion won. This is why Klinsmann is criticized for eating and running.
Chung Mong-kyu, chairman of the Korea Football Association, announced the replacement of Klinsmann on the same day, saying, "I have to talk to a lawyer about the payment of the remaining salary," adding, "If there is a problem, I will think about what I will contribute financially."
