Despite the sector facing the dual challenges of combating organized crime and potential terrorist attacks, total gaming sales are likely to increase during 2018 and remain positive.

According to a report by Asia Gaming Brief, these forecasts were made by Steve Vickers and Associates Limited, a professional risk mitigation company, through the Asia Risk Assessment Report, which also indicates the imminent renewal of Macau's casino license.

The report from Steve Vickers and Associates Limited reportedly said: "Each applicant must accept a formal bid, which means the interests of American companies may become hostages to volatile Sino-American relations."

With regard to the possibility that large integrated casino resorts in Macau could be attractive targets for terrorists, it has been reported to have declared that "general difficulties in securing firearms and explosives" in the former Portuguese enclave as well as close relations with the region and mainland China should "ensure safety." It reportedly pointed out that these sites would remain "vulnerable" despite recent "improvement of preparedness" moves, such as planning to hold exercises similar to the "gun attack and arson" at the Resort World Manila facility in June this year.

Steve Vickers, CEO of Steve Vickers and Associates Limited, said, "We have been brilliant and truly solemn about raising the issue of terrorism." "I really don't understand why, especially considering Macau is open to the world and not operating in a vacuum. External threats are possible at any time."

Vickers says the British government directed the Hong Kong Royal Police Force's Crime Intelligence Service while managing nearby Hong Kong. He said the Macau government's pledge to conduct mock terrorist attack drills in 2018 "does not really lower the risk," but "certainly increase the likelihood that all countries involved can respond more effectively."

Regarding organized crime, the Steve Vickers and Associates Limited report detailed that the government's recent decision to delay the licensing requirements of numerous sub-agencies working in partnership with many casino junket operators in the city means that illegal acts such as loan sharking are likely to remain an unpleasant part of Macau's gaming environment.

"The participation of trilateral associations and organized crime in the game sector shows no signs of diminishing, but rather institutionalized. 슬롯사이트
