Samsung's Hong Kyung-gi is breaking through. I smiled at the sweet victory.
Samsung Electronics won 99-94 in the third round of the 2023-2024 Jeonggwanjang Professional Basketball match against KT at Suwon KT Sonic Boom Arena on Wednesday. Samsung escaped six straight losses. It also escaped a long losing streak in away games. It started against Carrot (currently Sono) on Dec. 22 last year and had 22 consecutive losses in away games through DB on Dec. 8. It was the most consecutive loss in away games in the history of the Korean Basketball League. It was important to break the losing streak as eight consecutive games were held in December due to the gym rental issue.
It was very difficult to maintain a good atmosphere as losses continued. Samsung coach Eun Hee-seok also expressed his grievances. "I encourage players to talk to each other a lot. I only talked about what I needed to do. The more conversations the players have, the better the training atmosphere will be revived," Eun said.
The game was definitely different against KT. Coffey Coburn, the mood maker, boosted the mood with his passionate play during the game.
