The KPGA Classic, which will be held as the fifth competition of the 2024 season, will be held at Yeongam 45 Kyle Phillips Course in Yeongam-gun County, Jeollanam-do with a total prize money of 700 million won (140 million won).

The competition method is the modified stableford method. Each hole in the modified stableford method has different points depending on the score. A player who records an albatross gets eight points, an eagle gets five points, and a birdie gets two points. If a player writes down a par, there is no point as 0, and bogey is treated as -1 point, and double bogey or lower is treated as -3 point.

Compared to the existing stableford method, the point difference according to the score is large, which induces more aggressive play by players.

KPGA Chairman Kim Won-seop said, "As it is the only competition on the KPGA Tour in a modified stableford method, we expect to see a thrilling match unique to men's professional golf," adding, "As it is the first competition, we will fully prepare to make it the best competition in the 2024 season."

Meanwhile, the KPGA Classic will be broadcast live on SBS Golf 2, the KPGA-hosted broadcaster.
