Macau officials recently uncovered the second high-profile prostitution organization since it began in 2015, arresting 42 people in the process. One of the people arrested is only 17 years old and is considered a 'kingpin' of the prostitution organization. The majority of those arrested were gang members, including three prostitutes as well as some members of the family of those who belonged to the gang.
According to reports, the kingpins of the operation will be active in four rooms at the Kotai Hotel, and police said they did not know the specific ownership of the Kotai Hotel, but they operated a prostitution organization using social network services (SNS) to attract customers.
Girls meet customers at a hotel of their choice. The price of $125 to $375 will be paid by the customer for the service, and the girls will stay at 50%. The gangster who finds the client earns 30% and pays the remaining 20% to the ring's kingpin. During the bust, police were able to seize a diary showing condoms and cash, as well as details of the appointment.
