South Korea tied Jordan 2-2 in their second Group E match at the 2023 Asian Cup in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday. South Korea overcame the crisis of defeat by scoring a dramatic equalizer in the extra time of the second half while struggling against Jordan. With one win and one draw (four points), South Korea is now in second place in the group, trailing Jordan (four points) in goal difference.

South Korea's Son Heung-min and Cho Kyu-sung played as strikers against Jordan, while Lee Kang-in, Hwang In-beom, Park Yong-woo and Lee Jae-sung played as midfielders. Lee Ki-je, Kim Min-jae, Jung Seung-hyun and Seol Young-woo were in charge of defense, and Cho Hyun-woo defended the goal.

South Korea's Son Heung-min scored the first goal at the ninth minute in the first half against Jordan. After penetrating into the penalty area, Son was tripped over by Jordanian defender Haddad's tackle and the referee declared a penalty kick after VAR. As a kicker, Son shook the net with a right footed shot.

Jordan, which launched a counterattack, scored an equalizer in the 37th minute of the first half. Park Yong-woo, who was competing with Jordanian defender Al Arab in a corner kick situation, tried to kick the ball with his header.

Later, in the extra time of the first half, Al-Naimat scored a come-from-behind goal for Jordan. Jordan's Altamari's left-footed shot from the right side of the penalty area hit Jung Seung-hyun and flowed out to the outer right side of the penalty area, which Al-Naimat finished with a right-footed diagonal shot and split the corner of the goal.

South Korea scored a dramatic equalizer in the second-half stoppage time after struggling to target Jordan's defense. Hwang In-beom's left-footed shot from the left side of the penalty area was deflected off the foot of Jordanian defender Al Arab and South Korea finished the match against Jordan in a draw.

In the face-off between South Korea and Jordan, Jordan's coach's actions toward Son Heung-min after the game were also noted.

British media TalkSport reported, "After the Asian Cup, a Jordanian coach asked Son for a selfie. Once again, Son took a selfie with the opposing team's coach. Son Heung-min was happy to oblige," adding, "Jordan's head coach El Idrissi asked Son for a selfie. El Idrissi was very happy when he accepted his selfie request."

The media outlet said, "This is not the first time that an opposing team coach asked for a selfie from Son. The difference is that Son did not shed tears this time," adding, "He received a selfie request from the opposing team's coach after losing the second group match against Ghana at the Qatar World Cup. Korea was on the verge of elimination from the group stage, and Son had to be consoled. A Ghanaian coaching staff forced Son to take a selfie, which he refused. The legend of Middlesbrough and Ghanaian national coach Boateng even stopped Ghanaian coaching staff who asked for a selfie from Son," in explaining about Ghanaian coaches' rude behavior during the match against Ghana at the Qatar World Cup. 스포츠토토
