Will Choo Shin-soo (42, SSG Landers), who is in a batting slump, be able to rebound in his hometown of Busan.

Choo is expected to return to the starting lineup through three consecutive away games against the Lotte Giants that will take place from Sunday. He sat on the bench in both the doubleheader (DH) games against the LG Twins on Sunday. "I will start the game properly from the Busan game and watch the three games," SSG coach Lee Soong-yong said before the game, hinting at his plan to appoint Choo as the starting pitcher. Choo's batting average was 0.125 (three hits in 24 times at bat) as of Tuesday. He had no hit in six times at bat in scoring capacity. This is not a grade point suitable for someone who was a graduate of the U.S. Major League Baseball (MLB). He fractured his ring finger after being hit by a ball to check the opening game, but has not been able to use any energy since he returned on the 11th. Against this backdrop, voices of concern over the aging curve (a phenomenon in which athletic ability decreases at a certain age, leading to a decline in skills) have grown louder.

"I thought I should have given more time (to take care of myself). (Choo Shin-soo) said it was okay, so I pushed ahead a little boldly, but the result turned out to be like this," Lee Sung-yong, the coach, blamed himself.

Choo returned home in mid-season due to enteritis at the last minute of the second spring camp in Taiwan, and built his body in Korea. "Normally, we have to adjust the number of at-bats before the start of the season," coach Lee Soong-yong said. "Choo Shin-soo couldn't even play in exhibition games. He has not had enough at-bats due to injury in this season." Choo had nine at-bats in exhibition games to mark the opening of the season. Compared to his younger teammates including Han Yu-seom (27 at-bats) and Choi Jeong (23, at-bats), the team showed a big gap. To make matters worse, he even had a hard time controlling his condition due to his finger injury.

Prior to the game on Monday, Choo had his batting form adjusted with his batting coach Kang Byung-sik. "When I saw him hit, I saw him catch (the problem). I also thought that the Busan series would improve as he said, "It's okay,"" Lee said, expressing high expectations. 토토

The SSG-Lotte match is called the "distribution battle." SSG won in all of their first showdowns of the season, which took place in Incheon for the first time in two consecutive games. SSG is one step ahead in objective performance, but Lotte's momentum to revive its batters is also formidable. For SSG, Choo Shin-soo's rebound is imperative to add weight to its batters.

Choo has announced that he will take off his uniform at the end of the 2024 season. After signing the contract with the minimum annual salary (30 million won) early on, he has expressed his intention to donate all of his money. Three consecutive away games in Busan have emerged as the first gateway to the successful conclusion.
